FAQ

Where should I send my radar for repair?
For fastest service, send your radar directly to our Service Center at:
The Radar Shop, Inc.
1601 S. Grove
Wichita, KS   67211
What should I send in with my radar unit?
It's best to send a complete unit whenever possible. This would include all cables, antennas, display boxes, counting units, etc.  This removes the possiblity that your repair will be delayed by us needing a part not sent.  Sometimes the problem does not origniate in the part in which it seems to manifest from.
We do not need the Tuning Forks for your radar unit unless you are specifically requesting that they be calibrated / certified
How can I find out how much it will cost to repair my radar?
The easiest way is to call 1-800-337-7291 and speak with our Service Manager. Sometimes we will be able to give you a ballpark estimate over the phone.
Can I get an exact cost?
We can only give you an exact cost of repairs if you send the unit to us. Our Diagnostic Assessment charge is $55.00 which is waived once the repair is authorized to be completed.
Otherwise be sure to enclose your Name, Department, Address, Contact Person and a phone number where we can reach you during normal business hours if needed.  Include a brief description of the problem you are experiencing, or the service procedure you wish to have performed (calibration, certification, etc.).
What about payment arrangements?
Payment may be made by most major Credit Cards, by calling us at 1-800-337-7291.  We also accept PayPal, money orders, or cashiers checks.  We will gladly send a billing Invoice to your recognized Department or Institution with terms of payment net 30 days.
Individuals may make arrangement for payment on an individual basis. We will try to work with anyone's financial needs.
What is the best method for shipping a radar in for service?
Either UPS Ground Service or Parcel Post will provide adequate shipping services for most purposes in a reasonable time frame.
